Good morning! Well…I knew it was bound to happen, with this type of show…my Dexter happy bubble has been thoroughly burst. I won’t give too much away, but Season 4 has quite the ending…and not in a good way. 😦 If you are a female fan of Dexter, you will probably get weepy at the end like I did. It did not seem to have the same effect on boys.
( Stupid Showtime…I knew I didn’t pay extra for you for a reason.)
So anyway, my alarm completely woke me up this morning…I do not enjoy that. I much prefer to wake up naturally along with it or right before (I do that a lot) but this morning, it was like I was in the middle of hibernation or something. So I reluctantly got up and made a giant bowl of oatmeal…made me feel much better. 🙂
Regular old banana oats:
With a big glob of almond butter and trail mix on top (dried bananas, raisins, peanuts, and cashews). My tummy is happy.
Lunch is something new and exciting:
I got these at Trader Joe’s (where else)….I usually like store-bought veggie burgers, but they’re kind of lacking in flavor sometimes. So I was a sucker for the “authentic Indiana spices” tagline and bought them. Good job, marketing people.
Here’s the cooked one on the front of the box for your viewing pleasure since my lunch one is still frozen:
The rest of my lunch:
And a baggie of grape tomatoes for an afternoon snack. For some reason, I just can’t get the darn things to photograph without looking like a giant red blob.
Anyone have exciting plans for tonight? I packed my gym bag again for after work and it’s a friend’s birthday, so we might go out for a drink or bowling or something. I like it when boring Tues nights get some unexpected fun. I’m getting old so my weeknights are usually pretty uneventful :).
If you’re still catching up on blog reading from the break like me, check out my trips to Nashville and Chicago! I’m off to go hang out in my office/igloo and ponder the tragic injustices of Dexter Season 4.
Have a great day!
