Well, I have to admit, How I Met Your Mother let me down a bit last night. While the dance at the end and the heavy episode focus on Barney Stinson did go a long way toward making up for the eh moments of the show, overall, it just wasn’t that funny.
But that’s ok, because I entertained myself last night (take that, CBS) by prepping today’s breakfast: Chocolate Overnight Oats, Kath-style!
Last night before I went to bed, I combined:
–1/3 Cup oats
–1/3 Cup milk
–A few spoonfuls of vanilla yogurt (you could use plain)
–Half a sliced banana
–Half a tablespoon of COCOA POWDER:
Then I popped it in the fridge so the oats could soak up the liquids overnight (I didn’t cover it, but you could).
Then this morning, I took out the beautiful chocolately bowl and topped with (you know you saw this coming ) a big blob of almond butter, plus half of a crumbled blueberry muffin (both warmed in the microwave for 10 seconds):
The oats were cold, chewy, and exactly what my poor teeth needed:
Now I’m drinking hot coffee and remember the exact reason I didn’t make hot oatmeal this morning–I believe the stitches in my mouth might be melting. Wow…awesome.
I packed a hot lunch as well, so I guess I’ll have to heat it up then let it sit around for 10 minutes or something and cool (I hate the dentist):
Amy’s is a great, if slightly expensive brand. The focus of this brand is natural, nutritious ingredients and fresh taste. Here’s a peek at the nutrition:
SO who’s excited for American Idol tonight? I have to admit, I love reality TV. I even auditioned for The Bachelor once (I did not get picked. I guess I wasn’t crazy enough).
However—Paula—you will be missed. In honor of Paula’s loveable (if she was still on, they would be crazy and annoying; she’s not though, so they are loveable) antics, please visit the website Television Without Pity at some point this season.
It’s detailed recaps of each show, and the writers are absolutely hilarious. Their favorite target was Paula though, so I’m not sure who they’re going to torture with words now. At any rate, it’s highly entertaining.
What’s your favorite reality tv show?
Talk to you tonight!
