I have a confession.
For twenty-something years (a real lady doesn’t reveal her age :)) I’ve been a complete junk food addict. I love food, almost all food, and lately I’ve learned something pretty exciting–that “healthy” food can be just as delicious as junk food (well…close anyway). It’s all about moderation and feeling good about your body. After several months of reading inspiring foodie blogs, I’ve started to eat healthier and consequently, feel better.
Exercise, of course, goes along with the whole “healthy living” philosophy. I have never really thought of myself as an “athlete”–although, for argument’s sake, I must point out that cheerleading IS a sport :). But I love to be active and have recently started running. Each day I can feel my body getting stronger, and that’s such a fun feeling. I’m beginning to train for the biggest half-marathon in the world, the Indianapolis 500 mini-marathon, in May!
After that inspiring paragraph, however, I must point out that on some days, I just want to leave work and head home to my PJs and a glass of wine. Who doesn’t? So part of the point of this blog is to help me fight that inviting urge…while realizing that every once in a while, you should just give up the fight!
Thanks for reading!!!
